YOU&ME Architecture are working alongside the London Borough of Bromley and Turner.Works to deliver an urban strategy and new public realm improvements within Bromley's pedestrianised High Street. The brief responds directly to the changing nature of Town Centres and the importance of enhancing the experiential offer of the High Street, to increase footfall and to strengthen and diversify the daytime and night time economy. The design of these permanent interventions are derived from Bromley’s past and present histories, taking cues from Bromley’s people, landmarks and stories. Interventions include: • ‘The Greenhouse’ pavilion for all weather performance space and meeting • ‘The Time Machine’ artwork with viewing platform and periscope • ‘The Fountain’ Sculptural jewel-like water funnel with drinking fountain, curved bench and planter. • ‘The Punk Rock’ sculptural tiered seating • ‘The Story Bench’ 20m long bench with Bromley’s stories, histories and maps incorporated • Improved lighting, seating and planting
