Coach House is tucked onto a wedge-shaped site in Highgate Village, distinct from surrounding Victorian terraces with its smaller scale and dual roof forms. Maps suggest it was built as one, possibly with a coach house and living accommodation. The whitewashed brick interior contrasts rough textures with the smooth central oak stairway, designed to relate to the stepped flue. Ground floor living spaces rely on rooflights and a glazed entrance door for light and ventilation. Despite being in a conservation area, planning permission was obtained to raise the roof for insulation. Bedrooms gained additional rooflights, space was optimised with sleeping galleries, and the garage became a glazed home gym with a green roof.
