The Crowne Plaza hotel is only the second hotel within the City of London and is a 4-star business hotel near Blackfriars Bridge. It consisted of a new build shell and core building behind a retained façade with a fit-out programme following on behind. The design includes a full height atrium with guest rooms arranged round the preimeter of the site with internal access balconies. Our role was twofold - one was to provide all architectural documentation for the fit out works and secondly to produce all the interior design documentation. The fit out included all guest rooms, to three different levels of space and finish, and all public areas and restaurants together with a health club and all the back of house areas. We worked on a design and build basis for the main contractor and maintained successful relationships with the contractor and the professional design team.
