The property is located in the heart of the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The property, which is not listed, is a four storey end of terrace house constructed in brick under a slate and lead roof. The house has been refurbished and part of these works is the installation of a comfort cooling system. This system required 6 No. condensing units that need to be located outside of the building envelope. We proposed to locate the majority of these units (4) on the flat roof to the main part of the house to the rear. The parapet here is high and serves to hide the units. All units will be housed in a metal casing and will be painted off-white to match the colour of the parapets/walls immediately adjacent to the units.
