Rationalisation and re-plan of 14.6 Ha research site with a phased implementation of replacing the existing activities in new facilities, with careful masterplanning required to maintain the continued operation of existing buildings. New facilities include the 10,000m² Stewart Stockman Building, designed with ACDP CL 2 and 3 and SAPO CL3 and 4 containment facilities to provide a nationally important facility for disease surveillance, diagnostic services and veterinary research. The internal layouts consist of modular laboratory blocks, connected by an “interaction” core with entrance, security, primary circulation, meeting and refreshment functions in a breakout area. Other key masterplan projects included the Stores Building, site infrastructure including water storage compound, site landscaping, a wind turbine project and a Facilities Management building.
