New high containment research facility, providing a national and international centre of excellence, with Biological Laboratories to Containment Level SAPO4, including an Insectory and ACDP CL3 Laboratories. The fabric, fixtures and fittings are designed to provide very high levels of bio-security and containment with many bespoke features and details. The building is highly serviced and supported by a separate Energy Centre and new site infrastructure. It is located within a secure campus. The scale and materials used in the building are sympathetic to its rural context, including extensive use of timber cladding.
