New Build
This radical conversion of an unremarkable 1980’s farm house provides an extensive new home over four levels. The previously dark basement and living spaces have been completely structurally re-modelled, with the addition of the ‘link’, a two storey full height glazed volume opening the house up to provide flowing open plan living space bathed in natural light and basking in its tremendous views of the Kentish countryside. Clad in weathering steel and black stained timber the house presents a silhouette that is common to the Kentish landscape both in tone and form but is detailed and hand crafted uncompromisingly. *As a Hampson Williams project, Martin Williams RIBA was the project’s design director.
