Brick Apartments situated in West Dulwich received Full Planning Approval from Southwark Council in June 2020. The scheme comprises of nine new-build apartments with associated external landscaping and parking on the site of a former two storey dwelling. The scheme developed from an opportunity to develop a holistic building typology of high Architectural Design that could be specifically tailored to support an enlightened approach to communal shared living within a landscaped sub-suburban setting. The building was conceived of a series of inhabited translucent east/west facing blocks, stepped across the site, and separated by masonry fins which not only provide structural sub-division but also present a more solid treatment to North/South boundaries. Perforated brick screens allow light to penetrate through to glazed elements behind. The project is currently at detail design stage.
