Extensive sections of the rear and side walls of the existing building were removed to provide a light filled space with good connections to the outside. The 3m long central island with its quartz top and waterfall ends provide a robust work surface for family activities. The light teal geometric tiles add a touch of playfulness to the otherwise modernist scheme.
