Red Bull Building Level 3 , 42 Earlham Street , LONDON , WC2H 9LA

Situated on the Pankrac ‘Pentagon’ at the heart of the burgeoning Prague four business district, the project brings together symbiotic set of uses to create a lifestyle destination with a focus on the creation of a new urban square. The simple but textured facade treatment for the office and residential towers belies a nuanced and intricate set of site geometries aimed at maximising natural light and views to the historic centre of Prague whilst recasting and clarifying the urban scale connections between the site and its surroundings. The South site elevation features a seven-storey glass screen with a trompe-l’oeil glass frit pattern based on the motifs of Czech cut crystal, and this knits together the functions behind providing solar shading, protection from the wind and a sense of identity. Green spaces permeate the various buildings in the form of covered atria, amenity decks and roof top gardens and sky gardens.
