This project is about a house refurbishment and interior design to and existing bungalow. We chose to open up the house internally, removing several walls to provide an open plan living dining and kitchen space that now looks out onto the garden. To fully achieve this we opened up the rear elevation with a series of sliding glass doors, affording views and letting natural light flood in. The main internal ceilings and roof rafters were removed, a steel support inserted and then clad in timber to provide a fantastic vaulted roof over the open plan area. This certainly provides a major WOW factor to a fairly modest project.
