This is a Cat B commercial office fit out project. The existing building located on Bermondsey Street, London is an integrated collection of new and historic buildings. The client had taken the ground floor office space and our challenge was to create a flexible and agile office that successfully combines working, meeting and greeting places into one. We had a 'one size doesn’t fit all' approach to this design by introducing a bespoke feature desk design we named ‘amoeba’. It sinuously joins the three main areas of the business bringing them all together harmoniously. The new desk spaces are unallocated and non-hierarchal providing a flexible and dramatic workplace solution. The space-plan encourages the integration and cross fertilisation of business ideas promoting rapid business growth. A very funky solution and a very happy client.
