This is a new office headquarters building and workplace located in Hythe Kent. The brief was to create a new building and associated facilities that would help promote business growth, accommodate existing staff teams and attract new high quality staff. The end result should be a building which reflects the spirit of the company whilst creating an original and inspiring workplace environment. The use of space, light, natural materials, the clear legibility of construction and simple circulation all form part of the architectural response that bring the business together under one swooping roof. The building supports agile and dynamic ways of working promoting staff movement and the cross fertilisation of ideas to rapidly promote business growth. The integration of the building with the surrounding landscape encourages a sense of wellbeing for employees. We are conscious of our building impact on the environment and many of materials used have a low impact and are easily recycled. If architecture at its best is about people and modern business about good communication then this building is the perfect mechanism to bring the two together harmoniously.
