The Practice was commissioned to prepare a scheme for the conversion of a semi-derelict building in the heart of the Romsey Conservation Area, which was previously used as a carpet shop, into three new dwellings with courtyard gardens. The envelope of the existing building was quite restrictive, and presented us with the opportunity to design extensions in a contemporary style, to provide the required levels of accommodation. The conversion works were completed in Autumn 2011.
