This is a current project, and involves the conversion of a concrete framed office building in the centre of Southampton into self contained flats for the student market. Two bars on the ground floor have necessitated quite a complex acoustic design to isolate them from the upper residential levels, and to address the concerns of the Local Authority. The scheme is due to receive planning approval this month, with construction works programmed to commence in August.
