5 Floor, Magdalen House , 148 Tooley Street , LONDON , SE1 2TU
A £81 million new Undergraduate Engineering Facility for The University of Sheffield, UK. The project will provide approximately 19,500m2 (GIA) of accommodation for the University’s Faculty of Engineering and is the largest single capital project that the University has undertaken. The design creates an environment that promotes new methods in teaching and learning and will support The Faculty of Engineering’s world class reputation. This includes specialist engineering laboratories, lecture theatres, large scale flexible teaching spaces and integrated formal and informal learning environments. These will promote social and collaborative working and multi-disciplinary learning and will accommodate 5000 student study spaces. Construction started in July 2013 and the building has opened in time for the start of the 2015 Autumn Semester.
