T/D, in collaboration with Toby Smith Architecture, working with a family at Manor Fields house in the Village of Weedon, in the Aylesbury Vale to extend the dwelling and consolidate the existing outbuildings into a new agricultural barn and workshop. The building lies in a historically sensitive context and a conservation area, adjacent to a Grade II listed Manor Farm. The design proposes generous naturally lit spaces and incorporates an intensive green roof, timber structure and natural, non-toxic materials throughout. One of the benefits of the L-shaped layout of the extension is creating a delightful enclosed courtyard space on the southern side while taking advantage of the expansive views of the family-run vineyard and countryside beyond to the north.
