Within EartH, Dalston’s vibrant new music and arts venue, we created EartH Kitchen—an all-day restaurant and bar that shifts effortlessly from neighbourhood hangout to pre- and post-show destination. Housed in the former cinema lobby, the space was opened up by removing dividing walls, exposing original beams, and flooding it with natural light. A central bar and a sculptural feature light—an abstracted sequence of frozen music—anchor the open plan layout, with intimate zones arranged around them. Deco-inspired lighting, Japanese denim banquettes, and colourful formica tables bring a relaxed warmth, while the restored double-height volume creates a striking backdrop for dining day or night.
