Transit Studio is reimagining a historic country estate between Taormina and Catania, overlooking the sea and Mount Etna. Working within existing volumes to preserve future development rights, we are reconfiguring the Noble House, Palmento, Cantina, and chapel into a cohesive residence. The redesigned entrance creates a layered arrival, culminating in panoramic views from the main rooms. Former wine-pressing spaces become the home’s heart, with excavated levels housing a bedroom wing, spa, gym, and indoor pool. The wine cellar transforms into a double-height living space, while restored ceilings and original materials honour the site’s heritage. Terraced gardens and a kitchen orchard complete the transformation.
