The Practice has a long-standing relationship with the University of Portsmouth since the first project together in 2003. Since this date, over 60 projects have been completed, the majority of which have had to be undertaken during summer vacations to minimise the impact on teaching including: The refurbishment of student accommodation to Bateson and Harry Law Halls (800 rooms in total), including the phased replacement of doors, windows, services, finishes and fitted furniture plus the creation of new disabled student facilities. The complete refurbishment of internal circulation areas, a new reception area and formation of an external entrance lobby plus the upgrade of teaching facilities in the St Georges Building. Various multi-phased developments to the Anglesea Building including the upgrade of the circulation zones, the provision of new teaching and social spaces plus a new Mock Court for the Portsmouth Business School and the Faculty of Law. The refurbishment of the main lecture theatre, alterations to the research laboratories and the replacement of curtain wall glazing to a seven-storey tower to the St Michael Building. Extensive repairs and redecoration of the concrete façade to King Henry Building plus the replacement of all external doors and windows, improvements to the main entrance, social spaces, teaching spaces, lecture theatre and refurbishment of laboratories over three floors for the School of Biological Sciences. A multi-phased project comprising the upgrade of nearly 100 shared teaching (Pooled) spaces over 8 buildings, including the major lecture theatres.
