The project comprised the extension and conversion of an existing 1950 sports pavilion which provided changing facilities and a club room. The existing needed to be retained as it had received lottery funding previously for refurbishment works. The extension provided a new sports hall, sized to accommodate 4 badminton courts / 5-a-side football pitch, plus multi-use spaces including fitness suite, dance studio together with two lettable spaces for physiotherapy or similar associated use. The exiting changing areas were refurbished in order to serve both the new sports hall and the existing adjacent sports pitches.
