From pied à terre to family home, our challenge was to extend a tiny ground floor apartment across a confined, skewed site in Wandsworth. The flat above was held on props while we completely reconfigured the layout below. The creation of a new courtyard garden has brought air and light into the plan. Around it we’ve positioned a generously proportioned living space and bedroom. This asymmetric extension was then wrapped in zinc, to accommodate a shallow pitched roof and maximise internal height.
