Saddlewood is a private home set outside of Dorchester. The design looks to achieve an elegant balance of modern living and timeless tradition by renovating the existing building and introducing a new open-plan living space. The materials of the extension were carefully selected to reference the materials found in the local vernacular. The overall elongated form provides an elegant, modern aesthetic and the internal materials draw reference from Scandinavian design, rich in texture and quality to achieve a contemporary, calm aesthetic.
