This project explores the design options for a contemporary extension attached to a semi-detached Victorian style house while respecting the neighbourhood context. This would facilitate a gym overlooking the garden with a path leading from the front of the house to the back garden. Our proposal aims to limit the impact on the existing building structure and backyard footprint whilst maximising usable floor area created. The proposed design option features a ground floor sauna and shower with route to through to the garden and an upper level for the gym. The front elevation of the structure uses etched glass to provide privacy into the gym.
