Since 2007 The Manser Practice has been commissioned to carry out a number of projects at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. The new centralised main reception involved the total refurbishment of the existing concourse and it's extension under a new lightweight ETFE roof. The new concourse was designed around a new centralised outpatient reception providing high-quality facilities for arriving patients accommodating seating for 250 patients. The concourse is supported new office and administrative area. The design created an intutive modern non-clinical space, closer to a hotel or airport than a hospital.
