Following past projects in Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone and Kenya we’re delighted to have been appointed by the German government to work on the rearranging German Embassy in it’s 30 hectare wooded and landscaped compound. We were in competition with a number of German practices and our sustainable approach using local materials, skills and products was instrumental in us winning this project. The project includes the design and construction of two new entrances and guardhouses to the compound, a new two storey visa consular building, refurbishment and extension of the Ambassador's residence, nine new houses for diplomats, refurbishment of other buildings and creation of a new clubhouse, landscaping works and renewal of infrastructure resulting in a totally new Embassy compound with a coherent design integrating local materials into a German ethos.
