Brownfield site, New Build
The Architects were approach with a view to potential purchase for development - this first stage needed a feasibility study for existing planning permission and possible changes. We developed this this after purchase of the land with a view to maximising high-quality residential use across the site - with pre-application advice and subsequent planning permission. The site in Enfield (N14 4FU) needed careful planning to deal with its difficult access, brownfield status and close neighbouring housing. Detailed design focused on making sure of a sustainable design, exceeding building regulations requirements and using low energy techniques. We were able to maintain a focus on the delivery stage as contract administrator for the construction process.
