Aim of the urban design is a mixed use, dense neighbourhood, which establishes as well relationships to its younger history and formulates its own, confident character. The fusion of different sites into bigger plots allows for compact and introverted courtyard blocks. Each one of these could have their own architectural characteristics, depending on their use. Predominantly family housing, a health centre, a hotel, petrol station, art centre and facilities for the local university have been suggested. The proposed landscaping allows for tight connections with the surrounding neighbourhood and contrasts between a green and open edge and a central, intensively used urban square.
