TaylorHare were approached to carry out an initial feasibility study, which extended to include a site wide masterplan for the rejuvenation of the historic estate in the heart of Wateringbury. The proposal is to facilitate the continued diversification and regeneration of the farm by creating a sustainable future that is directly connected to the family and farm’s historic and traditional role. A proposed new brewery with associated Hoppers Huts sit at the heart of farm estate, and reflect an exacting approach to development, one that draws on and complements the existing oast house and listed buildings to create a collection of farm buildings that reflect and reference the hop growing, picking and beer production industry. Planning was granted in October 2018.
