Commissioned to modernise and extend this house, we substantially enlarged and transformed the living areas into a flexible open plan. Good integration with the rear garden was important as the garden was sloping away from the house - we introduced split-level to the living areas leading to stepped exterior terraces and the levelled rear garden. Internally, the remodelled spaces are flooded with natural light through continuous skylights. We designed all high quality furniture and joinery complemented by natural materials. Longevity, practicality and ease of maintenance were important factors in the choice for materials and design details.
