The proposal brought forward will provide an attractive modern mews, whose design is informed by the specific opportunities, qualities and constraints of this unique site and has been designed to meet the ambitious, low energy credentials of Passivhaus standard. It will include 5 houses, each with shared living, kitchen, dining space and, in total, 25, generously sized, dual aspect bedrooms, alongside 8 apartments. Each of the houses and a number of the apartments, will have a front door onto the street, creating an ‘active frontage’ and ensuring natural surveillance along it.
