The apartment overlooks Parliament Hill and the red brick facades of the beautiful streets of Hampstead, north London. Our interiors feature a muted palette of matte and glossy off-whites, alongside light-coloured wooden surfaces, like herringbone floors in thick, white-oiled solid oak, and bespoke furniture in white-varnished Siberian birch plywood and pine. This toned-down canvas ‘invites’ the terracotta and green of the surroundings into the flat and frames it through its restored windows. Throughout the day, the abundant light filtered through the stained glass panes paints red, olive green and ochre pictures onto the white walls of the south-facing living room and kitchen. The theme of colour against a neutral background is carried through by carefully chosen and placed objects, whose different textures, colours and finishes bring depth and variety to the rooms.
