Ongoing Project: We are working with our clients in Margate to renovate this late twentieth century property and surrounding land into a family home centred on communal growing and gardening. The project involves reconfiguring the internal layout to make more efficient use of the living spaces, drawing natural light deeper into the plan, and reworking of the exterior of the property. The focal point of the house will be the new kitchen, living and dining room spaces to the rear adjacent to the garden where (almost) all of the food needed for the home will be produced. These spaces will also be used as a place to bring together new friends and the local community. Upgrades are being made to the thermal performance and heating system of the property to reduce its energy consumption, and a sustainable rainwater harvesting system is being introduced.
