Alteration to existing property, Within a Conservation Area
This terraced house in the heart of Chelsea, was originally a three-story house with a small patio at the back. We designed a new basement under the property, creating a fourth floor, and the existing house was redesigned and restructured. By removing the rear part of the ground floor, we created a gallery connecting the ground floor with the new floor below. This floor has a double-height space, above which a sliding glass roof was installed, providing natural light to both ground and lower ground floors. The house is divided into two main blocks: the ground and lower ground floors, and two upper stories. The lower ground floor accommodates a kitchen, dining area, family area, a storage space and a plant room. The living room occupies the entire ground floors. On the first floor there is a master bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe andmaster bathroom which exits to a terrace. Two additional bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, one with its own terrace, are located on the second floor.
