The client approached Studio Spicer to instigate an innovative and beautiful solution to a tricky rural site. Our solution for a new office building on a tight site immediately against a busy and noisy road involved maximising as much of the open countryside views, utilising natural solar gains to pre-heat and light the core spaces and reduce the road noise. A contemporary response was deemed appropriate for the site and setting, and the use of materials crucial in connecting the building to its setting and wider landscape.
