This project involved the demolition of the existing poor quality rear extension, and re-building it to provide a modern home that corresponds to contemporary living. Simultaneously, the ground floor internal layout was re-organised to work with the new extension to improve both light and flow. Our design and choice of materials focussed on the industrial heritage of the Walthamstow area, and reflected our clients desire to use the building as both live/work space. A place for production; somewhere clean and crisp, whilst at the same time textured and rich with life.
