This project included the office fit-out of a building shell and two new extensions. A new entrance extension to the West is visible from Norton Way and is a more generous and inviting entrance than currently exists. This entrance is designed for Airbus’s customers and visitors to use and will be constructed in high quality materials and houses a glass lift and a reception desk. Access will be through a revolving door. The second entrance extension to the East allows the addition of some staff amenities; two showers for cyclists on the ground floor and a kitchen/ dining area on the first floor. The materials chosen are precision-made manufactured materials, which is in contrast to the existing reconstituted stone elevations. The materials were chosen as they are representative of a technology-led company.
