Studio Forty was appointed to design and deliver a single-storey, contemporary, rear extension a rural-style dwelling, within the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation Conservation Area, in Langford, Essex. The existing dwelling boasted ample living accommodation but the configuration of the spaces created division with the kitchen, dining and playroom sited in opposing quarters of the house. Given the sensitive nature of the site Studio Forty sought prior engagement with the Local Authority and are very proud to have achieved a successful consent at the first time of asking.
