A new modern timber clad, timber frame extension over open car parking bays deep within a conservation area. The project brief to create a First Floor side extension and internal improvements to form a new Master Bedroom and adjacent Dressing Room with Ensuite Shower Room, as well as providing additional bedroom spaces by re-planning the existing accommodation. Working with the Clients through initial design options resulted in interesting and dynamic spaces created within the roof envelope. Matching the existing external timber weather-boarded appearance of the existing house was an important aspect in terms of the client brief and planning considerations. Planning permission was granted in July 2013 and Building Regulation approval achieved in December 2013. The building was completed the summer of 2014.
