A single storey rear side extension to provide larger modernised kitchen & reconfigured kitchen.Our clients own a semi-detached Victorian residence in Ware, Hertfordshire. As a result of an extensive design study options appraisal, The consolidated design proposal chosen was to build out from the existing dining and kitchen external walls to infill a natural ‘indent’ within the building plan. Patent glazing supported on oak beams were utilized to provide a good level of natural daylight into the space, while the existing dining room sash window was removed with the opening retained in order to maintain natural daylight entering the space and to act as a space linking feature between dining and kitchen areas. The kitchen was totally redesigned and modernised featuring a new larger window with better views over the rear garden space.
