Studio Bark designed and delivered a low-impact Paragraph 84 home in Billingford, Norfolk, using our in-house modular U-Build timber system. The two-bedroom house was self-built by the clients on cherished family land, reflecting their deep connection to the site. U-Build enabled a hands-on, sustainable construction process using flat-pack CNC-cut timber blocks assembled with simple tools. The energy-efficient design features passive solar gain, natural ventilation, and a biomass boiler. We worked with ecologists to deliver a sensitive landscaping strategy that enhances biodiversity. This is the UK’s first Paragraph 84 home built using the U-Build system.
