A 4-storey listed Grade II townhouse in the heart of Hampstead. The original layout was altered to create a open kitchen dining area at the garden level and to enjoy the natural light. The property benefited from the original panelled cabinetry and walls in the drawing rooms - which was part of the listing, this was restored and redecorated to keep the historical identity of the interior. We changed one of the spaces into a billiards room with low level lighting. The master suite was lightly updated with a copper bath tub set against the original fireplace. Colours picked were cool, but highlighted the beautiful details that existed in the rooms. The end result was a delicate touch to sensitively update the character of the house.
