This project was part of a major capital investment in education projects in the area. The vision was to create an employer driven education system to reduce the effects of social and economic disadvantages across the City, as well as enhancing the area's overall educational offer in support of social and economic progress. With its location adjacent to Devonport Dockyard, the UTC is a key stepping stone between local employers and the employees of tomorrow
