Alteration to existing property, Within a Conservation Area

The existing building had been previously extended but no first floor connection was made between the two wings of accommodation. To solve this we introduced a new central staircase and first floor bridge to make the connection along with small extensions front and rear to optimize the internal space. The new series of semi-open plan ground floor spaces now engage with the splendid rear garden through full height glazing within the double height dining hall. The first floor layout has also been forensically reconfigured to maximize the size of the children’s bedrooms within the confines of the complex historic structure.
