New Build
Extensive regeneration project of a number of council sites to replace a series of dilapidated garages and a former council building that had become redundant. The scheme provides 36 new houses: 27 for affordable rent and 9 build for rent. The scheme is the first build for rent infill project undertaken by Harrow Council and will become a flagship for future developments. The new homes are arranged around a series of new landscaped courts and gardens, totalling 1800sqm of communal amenity space. These gardens incorporate a number of existing mature trees, which give an established character to the generous areas of new planting. The project was developed in close consultation with the estate’s existing residents, other stakeholders and the Harrow planning department, in order to ensure that our proposals were sensitively designed in order to avoid any impacts on the daylight, sunlight and privacy of existing properties. Having successfully gained planning permission for all eight sites in the project, we have subsequently developed a comprehensive tender package leading to the appointment of a preferred contractor. The project will be delivered in phases, the first of which is now under construction.
