The project in Portree Street was won in a competitive Tender as part of the Small Sites scheme by Transport for London in collaboration with Kisiel Group. The proposal for 9 apartments was awarded by London Borough of Tower Hamlets in 2020. The application had to overcome concerns regarding loss of public open space, flood plain and perceived loss of daylight amenity to neighbouring Victorian Terraces. The development is located beside main carriageways and is designed to minimise noise and pollution. Each apartment is dual aspect with private outdoor space. Negotiations are ongoing with Thames Water after which time it is expected to commence the Construction Phase.
