The existing house is a Grade 2 listed 17th C Farmhouse, cut into the side of a Hill on 3 levels. The Extension slots between two parts of the house that had never been connected. For the first time, a victorian vaulted and oak beamed hall is connected back to the main house. It provides a new principle entrance at the lower ground level, acting as an atrium with a stone staircase up to the main level with access to the kitchen. The kitchen has an oak hammer beam truss with a Glazed bay on one side and a brick and stone rusticated base with lancet windows. There is a large brick chimney provides an ingle for the range.
