A large detached timber framed dwelling located in a rural area of Hertfordshire. A full refurbishment was undertaken including a roof extension; new kitchen and bathrooms; a feature staircase and a new rear garden terrace with bespoke balconies. Brief: Provide a better living environment, particularly at first floor where the children’s bedrooms were very small with low sloping ceilings in the roof space. This property is located within the Green Belt and there are significant planning restrictions for extending any house in these locations.
