1st Floor Old Town Hall , 354 Mare Street , Hackney , London , E8 1HR , United Kingdom
Deane's Lodge comprises 18 deluxe double bedrooms set within listed building grounds at the Barn Hotel complex in Ruislip, Middlesex. The building has been designed as three separate two-storey blocks in order to minimise the scales of the development and to preserve the nature of the site's massing on this 2-acre 16th-century site. A key conservation planning requirement was to preserve the residential view of the site behind the building, resulting in the introduction of two structural glazed links becoming a key factor in the building's fragmentation. The building includes exposed structural beams to pay homage to the original exposed oak beams featured within the original building. Deane's lodge includes six 5* quality rooms all themed around Marco Polo's worldwide destinations. The decor of the bedrooms includes travertine, marble and limestone cladding whilst exploring other natural materials such as walnut furniture and Spanish slate. We provided full architectural services including planning, conservation, design, construction & interior design.
