This is a new build three storey building comprising commercial floorspace at ground floor level and 1 x one bed flat at first and second floor levels including second floor terrace, on a currently vacant site in a Conservation Area in Hackney, facing a famous food market full of community collective memories. It is designed to be eco-friendly with a timber structure clad in clay tiles of different hues, inspired by the ‘Rogue’ Victorian Architecture and the architectural vocabularies found in the vicinity.
